Intention_No. 1 — No 1 is indicative that there might be more. That is important as it seems to be a concept that grows. In this piece the idea was that intention, or the act of intention, brings a richness to its context or environment. The background of the work was a digitally painted and then extracted to become the ground for the transparent brushstrokes. There is also a drive to craft the shapes with some jostle, or wiggle within the piece to express the unconcreteness (when you have been named webster you can get away with some things) of what is happening. Having intention is a practice, and one I believe that leads to change.
